FCT offers the City & Guilds 6020-01 Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) award. This award consists of two key parts:
- An online examination (which you will sit on your final day at the Centre).
- The development of a task evidence portfolio.
Our training programme is an eight day programme delivered over a four week period, two days per week.
We pride ourselves on providing you with excellent support throughout your training. Our programme is very interactive, as it involves energy assessments in real properties, and the programme has been designed so that delegates with no prior knowledge or experience can attend and complete the course.
These are potentially exciting times for energy assessors as the long awaited rental market comes within scope of the regulations as of October 2008. This means that all local authorities, housing associations and letting agents are required to supply an energy performance certificate for all properties owned.
You can only carry out these assessments if you are qualified and accredited as a domestic energy assessor.
FCT not only delivers the training for the qualification but also provides free accreditation through an industry recognised body.
This training may be provided free of charge as we have qualified for European Social Funding for this course. However, you will need to meet the agreed eligibility requirements, which include being currently employed and living in certain pre-defined Boroughs of London.
Our staff will be happy to advise you on your eligibility so please contact us for more information.
